Thank you so much for visiting my website. I hope you are finding all the information you are looking for. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit more about me.
I am blessed with 2 awesome kids and happily married to a man whose always encouraged me even when, as an entrepreneur, I changed my mind at least 10 times about what kind of business I wanted to launch.
At one point my kids asked my husband: “When are you going to tell mom to stop changing her mind about starting so many businesses?” and he responded: “Never”, as long as she is searching, I stand behind her 100%. Of course, at one point, one has to find a direction and clarity in life otherwise, it can become exhausting and a quite discouraging to keep starting new ventures only to go back to the drawing board a few months (or weeks) later!
I believe the main reason I was unsure of my life purpose was because I was not walking with God. I was trying to do it all on my own. One day, as I looked at my brand new business and website, I didn’t feel any excitement about telling people about it. I had worked 6 months to create the concept and website, and I didn’t even want to promote my services! I felt so discouraged!
That day, I put my head down on my desk and started to cry. Then I prayed to ask God to help me figure out who I was and how could I help others! That same day, I am not sure how I came across Shari Braendel website but there it was and instantly I knew I wanted to talk to this woman.
I looked for her phone number (it was on her website) and called her! I left her a message and wouldn’t you know it…she returned my call! Shari was the first person to EVER ask me about my faith. I didn’t know what to say when she asked me where I was at spiritually…and basically, I said something like “I was raised Catholic but we don’t go to Church”.
We talked for about 30 minutes and in that time alone; she was able to minister to me in such a powerful
way, that after I hung up the phone, I looked for a local Christian Church in my area and found New Life Church. It all happened in such a smooth flow of events! Only 6 months after joining New Life, my husband, 2 children and I joined the Church, followed the steps to become members and got baptized together! God is so good!
God has answered my call for help and He has placed some amazing sisters on my path so that I can continue to grow and serve! One of those precious sisters in Christ is Dixie Daly…
Dixie and I developed a relationship after being introduced to one another through a mutual friend on Facebook! Yes, we spoke on the phone almost weekly for one year and we were inspired to create a line of really pretty cards called Girlfriends’Journey. I visited Dixie in Loveland Colorado a year after we met on the phone and it was such a joy to spend a few days with her. Click HERE to shop for unique cards created for caring girlfriends wanting to send a reminder of how much they love their sisters!
I pray daily for God’s continued guidance. I would never try to do it on my own ever again. Another blessing God sent my way is Leila…my friend and co-author of Lord, Help Me To Flourish
In 1 year, Leila and I journeyed together. We have grown in our faith and our friendship and love for Jesus inspired us to create a beautiful coloring devotional. Please look inside and find it in your heart to purchase it for yourself or for a friend or to suggest it as a Bible study group. We both know how much we have been blessed by this book and our greatest wish is that you will be as well.
As God continued to give me clarity in what my purpose is I was attracted by the new trends of the paint&sip industry and I launched my own version of these popular painting workshops. The vision of “Pause and Paint” is to inspire women with no art experience, to render in their own way, my original art pieces. In just a short three hours I guide my students into creating inspiring artwork, and each student truly add their own touches, making their piece their very own! I offer a stencil (drawing guide) to students with no drawing skills so that they have basic guidelines for their paintings. I also always encouraging my painters to freehand their own sketch.
Lastly, I want to briefly tell you about a group I launched almost 7 years ago on Facebook called The Women of Facebook. This group was launched in December 2010 with the goal of creating a place for women to teach, learn and network in a safe environment. HERE is where you can join the conversation.
Just as my sister in Christ Shari Braendel did for me when I called and reached out to her, I would like to extend the invitation to call me if something in your heart is calling you to reach out…do not hesitate! My phone # is 203-927-6782
I invite you if you have not done so already, to pray and ask God to come into your heart. Tell Him that you are ready to have a relationship with Jesus. God will hear you and you will in return, start receiving His light to show you the way. Be consisting, pray daily and have faith.
ARTIST BIO
Nathalie Villeneuve is a Canadian-born visual artist. Her paintings are best described as Expressionist meets Parisian chic. Each one of her pieces is individual with its own personality, with an essence of vulnerability, strength, and playfulness. Nathalie expresses the vision of her art on canvas through movement and creating a series of heavy lines contrasting bright colors fading into soft brush strokes on canvas.
Her body of work depicts women we can all relate to. Whether she paints a woman praising God, dancing, sitting at a Cafe or by the beach, the scene she creates consists of elegant, long-legged feminine figures gracefully perched and seems frozen in time during moments of peaceful reflections.
Villeneuve, a Meriden resident has shown her artwork at various galleries and venues in Connecticut and Canada. She now has a growing body of collectors throughout the U.S. Northeast. She studied at the Dickson Art Center/UCLA under Professor Roger Herman towards receiving her Bachelor’s of Interdisciplinary Art.
